"America's Best Colleges" is an annual publication by "U.S. News" available on newsstands today and online at www.usnews.com/colleges. The annual rankings group schools based on categories created by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, and is a popular resource for paraents and students who are contemplating which college or university best fits their education goals.
Comparative research is used to help students and their families make choices.
The "U.S. News & News World Report" rankings represent a comprehensive analysis of how more than 1,400 accredited four-year schools compare. The analysis is based on a set of 15 widely accepted indicators of excellence, such as graduation rates, class size, full-time faculty in the classroom and quality of incoming students.
Based on the criteria, UCM was named one of the top public universities in the Midwest, which includes institutions that offer baccalaureate degrees, master's degrees and a limited number of doctoral degrees.
